Hey, I hacked the random NPC generator from http://www.easpegasus.net/AW_NPC.htm, cleaned up the Javascript, added some more apocalyptica and columns from nilum87's spreadsheet mentioned above (like "follows their [body part]"), and made sure the look, gender, name, etc. and the "follows" and "attitude" columns are all synched with each other.

Here it is: http://benjaminrosenbaum.com/images/AW/npcs.html

Awesome, thanks. Could we get an "export to CSV file" button? It would be marvelous, so I could integrate it in my sheets, quickly adding columns like "used" "dead" "facts" etc.

Exporting to CSV is a cool idea but a quick google does not reveal that much ready-to-use code to do it -- but if someone wants to hack the javascript for me I'll include it :-)

I put together a trifold document base for creating things like moves sheets or playbooks. The document uses Microsoft word, and functions best in "publishing layout" view. Make sure to get all of the free AW fonts before you download these, otherwise the fonts in the document will reset and get all ugly-like.

ApocWords.net
« Reply #19 on: April 24, 2013, 11:34:05 PM »
I'm building a website, http://apocwords.net, designed to be of service to Apocalypse World MCs, either in prep or in play.  The intention is to have it on my tablet browser while I'm running a game, for instant inspiration should I need it.

The Apocalypse World page is at http://www.apocwords.net/systems/apocworld.html. The creatures function isn't live yet, and there are still several functions to be added. Much of that is explained in the development notes page.

There's also robust support from Dungeon World, and I'm adding functionality for Call of Cthulhu games.

If you find the site of any use, or if you have questions, comments or suggestions, please let me know!

For any game that used a d6, I found out about Doublesix Dice when by looking for soundtrack info for the first Lisa game, stumbling upon the Kickspy page for its spiritual successor, LISA the painful RPG, which barfs forth all sorts of apocalyptica, and seeing Doublesix Dice among the also backed list. Do such dice seem like a good idea/investment or a stupid one?

I spent a long time making these character sheet pdfs that you could fill out easily for those who play with laptops. Save the trees, or whatever. Then I forgot to save and I lost them all. No worries though, I hastily made some sloppy ones and they work for us just fine.

Well, I just backed at the $10 Fudge level, and I'm getting 24 dice for that. I don't think you can beat that deal anywhere. 12 fudge dice and 12 double-d6 is worth that, for sure. (I needed Fudge dice anyway; and I've been THIS close to buying some almost every weekend at the game store.)

Barter Cards

I made some barter cards for my players and I thought I would share them.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20414815/Barter%20Cards.pdf

My players had a hard time relating to the 1-barter unit, they just sort of saved them up. So I made a bunch of barter cards, to give them an idea of what a barter could be and ways to use it.
When ever they walk into a marked, not looking for anything in special or they get paid for a gig, I put out a couple of cards (usually 1 or 2 more them what they get paid) and tell them, this is what they got pick what you like.

I also made a couple of stock cards for the Angel, but they aren't a big success, maybe some of you guys have more fun with them. The special crap is stuff I needed for my own game.

Really good, Kalle! You have a distinct style that isn't just a copy of the Apocalypse World books, but complements it very well.

I look forward to pushing some of these across the table as we argue excitedly about who gets what :-)

I can only take credit for some of the illustrations, a lot of them I got from Fallout. A great game with lovely graphics, so why reinvent the wheel.

I'm considering making weapons cards as well, my players have a tendency to forget the weapon tags, and I think having a card with a picture, description, range and tags in front of them might make a weapon more then just X-harm.

I came across this on RPG Reddit and felt it was amazing for use in AP World. I've been keeping my group in the dark about where the city they are is located at so having a map without "Welcome to the City of blah blah" across the middle is hard to come across lol.

I had problems doing their map capture part but I just did a screenshot and then pasted it in paint for editing.

Enjoy!

Loot tables have always been my favorite thing about traditional D&D, but I couldn't find any without that fantasy edge, so I made my own for AW. Roll a d100 (or 2d10) to get a trinket. Most items should be suited to most any post-apocalyptic setting. I have a name, some flavor text, and any relevant tags or stats. I strove for "interesting, but not especially valuable or immediately and obviously useful," although there are a few single-use 1-harm weapons listed. If an item is obviously useful or valuable, I tried to limit its uses--yeah, you've got cigarettes, but only a couple. Value-wise: something that could buy you a hot meal, or 1-2 days' worth of freeze-dried or shelf-stable food, or a night or two on a cot on someone's floor.

There are a few items which may or may not exist in your game (mobile phones, CD's, etc.) Reroll if you get something that doesn't mesh with your game.

I may make additional tables, because I really enjoy this sort of writing.
