Also, you can choose to both lose a string, even when you don't have one.

They all look good, but the Doc looks amazing, I'd love to see it in action. If you get the last of it written up, I can lay it out if you want.

I'm curious about the text "The bonus it gives also stacks with shapeshifter’s." Is that an artifact from an earlier version? Should Shapeshifter give some sort of bonus?

I liked Courtney Campbell's lists, but I'd really like something with a more open license, like the Story Games Names Project. I've kind of got an idea or two for this, so I'll keep batting it around and maybe contact a few people.

I'll send Sage an e-mail, unfortunately for the time being, my only feedback is "You shouldn't let players drink during Luke's erotically charged sexventures, maybe take that ability out of the final release."

Dungeon World / Newest Pdf
« on: July 02, 2012, 07:40:54 PM »
So I bought the game a few months ago, right around the week the git repository went live. I didn't bother playing and sending an e-mail to get into the adventurer's guild because I knew it wasn't the newest version of the rules. I didn't e-mail after I finally played at Forge Midwest either, because I was so busy. I noticed recently that my Downloads section of the DW website has Adventurer's Guild downloads, but the Beta pdf links both lead to Invalid File. Do I just not have proper access? Was there a link to the latest pdf in the Kickstarter updates that I just missed? Might that be a good idea?

I'm one of the players, and it's been pretty manageable as far as I can tell. The ability to easily split us into multiple concurrent scenes helps a lot.

I guess my question is as regards doing something that somebody doesn't want. In the bottle example, if I don't want you to take the bottle, what are my options? What are your options? I'm holding onto it tightly, so according to the extended example, you'd have to lash out physically, but as you've stated, that doesn't actually get the bottle away from me, it just hurts me.

I think I understand the feeling of helplessness that you're going for, but, um.. I know of teenagers, and they can actually grab things, physically pull people in directions, etc. I think you might be thinking of phantasms. Common mistake. :)

If you get a picture for it, I can put together a playbook for you.

Zombie Thread!

I also like the idea of a list of names others call you: Stranger, fella, etc. But without the normal choose one, instead each PC and NPC chooses from the list the first time they speak with the character.

I just re-watched Road Warrior, and I really want to see somebody play with the boomerang and glove.

I put together a trifold playbook for the Feral Kid: Here

There's probably a bit more that could be added, but it seems good overall.

This is great!
I love the prepackaged feast idea.

I'd also love to see a recipe or two for something that would end up resembling some kind of horrible mess that you'd make out of pig-maggot meat, roaches, and pigeons, but actually tastes good.

Anyone got anything?  :)

The “you already know all there is to know” clause is there, but I’ve never used it and I hope you never do too.
That's an awkward turn of phrase, thought I'd point it out.
