A Dungeon World Actual Play Podcast
« on: December 06, 2012, 08:31:58 AM »
Hi! I'm Roy... producer of the Roo Sack Gamers Podcast. We just started releasing our Dungeon World sessions as part of our actual play podcast. In the past, we concentrated on Burning Wheel and Burning Empires but we are branching out a bit including a bit of Dresden Files, The One Ring, Fiasco and Savage Worlds.

Our first Dungeon World episode is available now. It's the first time for all of us with this system so feel free to us how badly we screwed something up.

Our web page is http://podcast.roosackgamers.com/

Download the episode here: http://media.podcastingmanager.com/2/0/6/6/8/295141-286602/Media/rsg080_DungeonWorld01.mp3

Part 2 of our journey through Dungeon World is ready for listening. The fight with fire beetles comes to a head even as the goblins make their presence known. Everyone gets a moment in the sun.. but let's face it... the fat thief is the most fun. :)

We SHOULD have had recorded it LAST week for today's release. Unfortunately, Jeff, the GM for this game, had a bad cold with fever. So we ended up recording a round table discussion. Now the holidays are upon us and we won't get back to it until January.

That's the bad news. The good news is that we spent a good amount of time  in the Chat Episode (that just dropped) talking about how much fun we were having with Dungeon World. So we WILL be getting back to killing the goblins in the hallway and figuring out what the thief's bracelet is all about. :)

Thanks for listening! And if your are curious about our thoughts on Dungeon World (and other geeky sundries), that chat episode is at:

Back with new episodes!

Where is Fat Jack?

The guys continue with the Dungeon World game even though I couldn't make the game. It's a fun listen and the the guys have a really good discussion after the gaming session. Now... how will Fat Jack figure back into the game?

Glad to be back! Episode 4 is already recorded and will be edited soon. And Episode 5 is scheduled to be played this week!

Please feel free to post here any questions about something we did or comments on how we are running the game. :)

Episode 4 is ready for your listening pleasure!

In this installment, the Thief, Fat Jack, rejoins the party. A Prisoner is freed, and SOMETHING claws it's way from a pit.... SOMETHING that SPEAKS!

Episode 5 is UP!

It's a sad episode as Fat Jack is forced to give up his bracelet... and some PCs die.

I just made an account to say that I'm loving the Podcast.  I find it rather informative.
Looking forward to the next episode.

That's great to hear!
Stick with us. We are getting back to Dungeon World as soon as possible. Our DW GM has real life interfering with his gaming right now. It's only a temporary problem though. We will have a SHORT interlude into Deadlands Noir (a successful Summer 2012 Kickstarter from Pinnacle Games). And Jeff should be back to get us into more Dungeon World trouble.

The RooSackers make their triumphant return to Dungeon World!

First we take care of a LONG over due email (Thanks Zach!). Then we jump into the game. The gang finds themselves in Stonehenge on a mountain (cue the Spinal Tap song), Dungeon Master hands out some Keen Gear, and a dryad gets goosed! Talk about fun! :D
Episode 6 of our game can be found at our web site: roosackgamers.com

Roy, you guys are really getting into the 'World engine now - loving the emergent narrative, so entertaining on my way to work, thanks so much!

Thanks Noofy! Not sure about the rest of the guys, but I still haven't quite got the hang of when I should be using "Spout Lore" to shape the World. But.. DAMN... it's fun. :)
