This will be really helpful for when I get around to playing another round with my group.

I will post some more once we get our second session in, Unfortunantly due to Classes we have been unable to play.  I also wanted to let the anyone who is working on the game know that I love how simple it is to create monsters and creatures for the players to fight against. The fact that the creatures have only a few stats and the rest is fluff filled in by myself makes it extremely easy to add in and drop enemies on the fly. ( this is of course assuming that I understand the way enemies are made and operate loll)

Dungeon World / First Play from a complete Newbie

Some background on myself, I have never played a Pen and Paper RPG in my life nor have I been a GM(obviously). Even with this lack of experience I have always been interested in playing a pnp game but was always thrown off by the size and money investment in order to get into D&D and other games. I also didn't have many friends that would want to try a game as daunting (in appearance) as D&D is. I honestly forget how I came across this game but I bought it on a whim hoping it would have the fun of a PNP game but just focus on the "fun". Enough of my back story and on to my experience.
I ended up GM'ing Since I was the only one out of my 2 other roommates that has read the rules. I surprised them by handing them a stack of character sheets and telling them to fill it out with out any knowledge of the rules, They did that flawlessly. The next day we decided to just run with it and see what happens. I didn't explain the rules to them at all and told them to just tell me what you want to do and everything will flow from there. Lo and Behold, it worked just like that, With an initial moment of confusion by them and me pointing them somewhere they figured out that all they had to do was say what ever it is they wanted to do then roll and bam the game flows like melted butter.
Going into the game I didnt have a plan for where we would go as PC's at all and just ran with it and we had a blast.

My Roomie 1 played a fighter and roomie 2 played a thief. Right off the bat the thief wanted to try and pick pocket luckily he was successful. next up they heard a rumor about some local lizardmen inside of a cave to the south of the town they were in. This led them to making the 2 day journey to the cave and running into 2 lizard men on the way, dispatching of them in a beautifully gory fashion and moving on. once entering the cave I drew up the cave on the fly and they cleared it with some near deaths on the thief due to being careless. their adventure resulted in finding a little girls head and her dead fathers body and a lizard men with a particular tattoo that they brought back to town to find out about the nearby tribe of lizardmen.
I am not very good at writing a play by play so i just wanted to sum it up rather quick. My only confusion comes from the bonds system(we avoided it for the time being), and whether or not load is calculated by your base plus the actual strength value or the mod value.

Thanks for the amazing game, we are really looking forward to busting out our next adventure and watching as the game begins to flow smoother and smoother as we play.
