Did you know y'all just got linked to by Penny Arcade yesterday? Some pretty kind words.  Nice!

It's not the first time he's done it.  Every time he does there's a spike in viewership on Flickr, blogs, etc.  I call it the "Penny Arcade Effect".

Keep your eyes open for the 30025 Clown Fish ploybag.  I picked it up today in the  Five Below store near me.  It has lots of orange pieces, slopes, clips, and other fun things.

I saw this one today, 40031 Bunny & Chick polybag.  While there are some "enh" parts in the set, it has four Travis Bricks, two Headlight bricks, and some other good parts.  It also has 52 pieces and retails for $4.99 USD, which means it falls into the $0.10 per part range which is right in the sweet spot.  Also, it's a seasonal item so, if it stays past Easter it'll probably get marked down.

Another one that's good, but not in my usual price range for recommendation, is the 5767 Cool Cruiser.  It has all the usual fiddly bits we love but, the thing that knocked my socks off was the two Trans-Clear Headlight bricks.

I almost forgot this one, 7977 Seabed Strider can be turned into three simple mechs.

As can be seen here.

There are also two new MFZ blogs at Orion 6 and the Mobile Frame Garage.  There's also a wiki!

Newsflash: Good sets for Mechaton!

I recently picked up the polybags 30052 AAT Mini and 40021 Hallowe'en Spiders.  They have a bunch of really nice parts for Mechaton.

Something that I've been working on are designs that don't look quite like "normal" mecha.  Here are a few pictures.

4) What about interactive terrain: like jeeps or tanks or crowds of people that might move or do interesting things during the turn? Could you have objectives or stations that move or attack - or heck, even any kind of terrain?

This post, over on Mechatonic, details a game where the board was always in motion.  I hope that helps a little.
