I cant much help for the water bearer, cause I think it's trash. :) No offense to those that disagree, but whatever. The important part of this is that you require everyone around the table to think it's cool. Therefore there is only one correct answer to your question. That is, that you should pose the potential to your group and ask them how they want to deal with it. Let them know that the implications of the move were confirmed to force everyone, and then instead of trying to justify that to them, ask them to justify it to each other.
If they all come up with an answer, that's the right one, right there, hey maybe you learn something about the class / powers / etc during the discussion. Of course, if all of them also agree that they find it entirely unfun, and the water bearer does too, then guess what. What is unfun to everyone is always the wrong answer.
