I forgot to ask my other setting question, which is, have people tried playing in post-apocalyptic versions of their hometown?  As a White Wolf veteran, I'm totally used to making mental notes for the magical/vampirical version of my hometown, and I find it to be a quick and easy way to build a setting.

Plus, it's fun to imagine a trashed version of your hometown just like it's fun to imagine zombies attacking the mall while you're shopping.  But the gamebook stresses the lack of connection to present day culture and history so much, I don't know if it would have some negative effect on the game.

Not even an apocalypse could make my hometown exciting.
