More quick questions:

Volley: On a 10+, do you mark off ammo? Or is that only when you choose to on a 7-9?

Experience: How much XP should a player roughly expect to get after a 2-hour play session. My group last night were nuts lucky with rolls and even after end-of-session XP thingers they have only 2-3 points each.

Volley: The latter is true. Ammo are counted by abstract means. You can see that a player with a ranged weapon usually starts the game with 3-6 ammo, which would be ridiculous otherwise.

XP: The luckier you are, the less experience you need! :D 2-3 xps are ok for the first session, then usually players understand how to get more xps by the end of the session and:
1) become more reckless on rolling with a low stat;
2) actively try to bring into play one or more bonds and their alignment;
3) actively seek treasures, big baddies and interesting facts on the setting.

Those things obviously give a lot of fuel to the fiction, so trying to gain more xp actually pays out improving the story!
Oh, the things we tell ourselves to feel better about the long, dark nights.
