Ressurection

Can someone share the thinking behind the Resurrection Rules, specifically the inversion of the assumption that higher rolls are better? Is it something to do with highly weird hunters causing more damage when they pierce the veil between life and death?

The reason for the resurrection rule existing is that characters coming back to life is a regular occurrence in most of the material that inspired me.

The reason that Weird makes the results worse is less specific, but along the same lines as your suggestion: basically, the more weird a hunter is, the more weird it's going to be when they are returned to life.
