A couple of questions about the names

1) Must you choose from the playbooks' lists or you can make up your own?

2) Can you choose more than one name, ie. "Colonel Allison" for an Hardolder?

The names lists are there to be used. I personally like using them, but I know if you look around here, you will find threads debating this question at some length. Using more than one name happens, sure. So does making up names that fit with the ideas given in the lists. In one of our early games, there was an NPC named Mother Superior, and no-one cared at all that it was a name not found on any list. Just keep in mind that the naming conventions of Apocalypse World are a few steps (at least) sideways from current actual naming conventions.

In our last game rich people had more names (no one really knows why)

so when the Quarantine (J. Alexander (something) the Third) turned up we were all very impressed

I know a guy who made up his own name once...ONCE!

And he was never heard from again?
