Allies of retired PCs

We recently had a player retire her Battlebabe=>Skinner, who had acquired four allies. The question came up of what to do with those guys once the character retires. Do they revert to normal NPCs and go back in the threat pool like everyone else?

What sort of retirement is the character having?

Kite retired to be in charge of the brothel Horizon after its previous owner (and Kite's ally: representative) Maryland took over The Reef.

I'd say no. Having a PC retire with allies seems like it would stabilize those allies even further, maybe even to the point of moving them off-screen entirely. "Yeah, didn't [Skinner] and her pals take up gardening/ get really into their little family/ head out west a few years back? She used to be badass, but now they just keep to themselves. Stil, I wouldn't mess with them. Sometimes they're good for a quick meal or some intel."
