I've just started up a twitter account for Monster of the Week, currently aimed at people playtesting and later for other news as it gets closer to finished. I'll note updates to the docs there.

Find it here: @MotW_rpg

I'm really digging Monster of the Week. Here's why:

A simple pitch: you hunt and kill monsters.

It's perfectly balanced to run games inspired by a variety of sources: from Hellboy to Fringe to Buffy to Scooby Doo.

Mike's taken the Apocalypse Rules and stripped them down; in some ways this is Basic Apocalypse World. And the writing is clear and accessible; I really enjoyed reading it.

Monster of the Week has jumped into my stable of games (along with PTA and InSpectres) that I feel comfortable pulling out and running anywhere, anytime.

Thanks for the kind words, Steve.

I can't claim credit for creating "Basic Apocalypse World," though. I've just followed the advice Vincent put into the book (and here) about how to hack it.
