Apocalypse World / Re: Blind Blue and Hatchet City

I've used Sunken Sydney and Blind Blue in seperate con games. Sunken Sydney produced a better game IMO. But Blind Blue was still fun.

Apocalypse World / Re: Not to be fucked with and AP ammo

Just do what the fiction demands. Is he going in guns blazing, shooting his AP ammo everywhere - then yeah, it's all AP damage. Is he instead hacking people to bits with his machete - then no he doesn't get AP.

The video for "I Fink U Freeky" by Die Antwoord has some apocalyptic imagery. And it's all a bit weird as well.

But yeah, dancing to techno whilst covered in dust for teh win.

Is Bram catching this dude posing as Dweller going to be interesting? Is it going to let you be a fan of Bram?

Whenever I MC Apocalypse World I have to try and ditch a fair few years of baggage from games I used to GM - making players do pointless rolls is one of those things. Just laying everything on the table there and then is what I find works best. This is one of the reasons the MC's advice sections in AW are golden.

I'm pretty sure this used to be shown over here in the UK but under the title Degrassi Junior High.

I'm a little confused. Hot is what Pandora would role to manipulate others, right? If she's roofied shouldn't she be more susceptible to being manipulated?

Yes, but as the MC never rolls dice it should mean that the PC is trying to get the character into situations where Hot is needed.

That's how I read it anyways!

Apocalypse World / Re: +implanted : what did you do with it ?

In a game I ran the brainer's violation glove was a seed pod thing that implanted itself in his wrist and sent little tendrils out to "violate" people. It didn't get as hentai as it sounds!

If you have sex with a PC, on a 10+ next time you advance, you may choose any of the moves from their playbook. They may choose one of your moves next time they advance. On a 7-9 only they get to do this.
On a miss you take -1 ongoing if you try to help/interfere with them.
With an NPC, on a hit you get +1 ongoing with them, on a miss it's -1.

"Announce future badness" is always a good one.

I always find if I'm struggling for a hard move to make when a player fails a roll, take a quick look at the MC sheet and have a scan of the MC moves. If you've still got nothing, look at your fronts. Still pulling a blank, Announce future badness and add whichever npc the player was interacting with to a front.

As a medic in the Royal Navy I can safely say that not all medics in real life would have a high Hard rating in AW!

The combat Medics in the Royal Marines though have definetly taken the 2 Hard advances!

Most experienced medics I have met, civilian or military, generally are good at not taking shit from anybody. Especially when a patient is involved.
