Dungeon World / Re: Where's this Hack Going?

Me too. :)

For now, I'm planning more new stuff in my version of DW for PAX. I don't have a clear idea of how that relates to anything Tony's doing (aside from the fact all my work is based on his).

And I'm agreeing. :)

Yeah, I'm sure there are all kinds of similarities, but the first thing that comes to mind with that title is likely to be D&D + post-apocalyptic wasteland full of burned out cars. That could certainly be an awesome game, but maybe not the expectation to set.

Cool, I'll run with that.

I think it kind of depends on what audience this is for. If everyone who plays this hack has played AW, then yeah, Apocalypse Dungeon is cool. On the other hand, if this hack is more of a stand-alone thing, people are just going to be thrown off by it. I talked to my brother about "Apocalypse D&D," telling him all this cool stuff the game has, and his first question was "so what was the apocalypse?"

I think this hack has legs of its own, so I'd prefer a name that didn't confuse people not familiar with AW.

Adam's approach to this, which I really liked, is that if you're down to -1 to -10 HP another player can Defy Danger to stabilize you (the danger being "They get worse").

I have a new version of the rules with lots of input from Tony and Adam (skinnyghost). Not sure if they're really a new version or a branching of the rules, but for now you can get it at http://www.latorra.org/dungeon-world/.

I vote for Dungeon World. In fact, I vote for it so hard, I made a new version of the rules and just called them Dungeon World. :)
