books in the teen romance genre I've read recently have featured angels - angsty reincarnated angels who attract demons who mess with their girlfriends

I'm reading one right now about a Genie - he's bound to stick around this girl until she's made her three wishes, but she's reluctant to wish for things because they won't 'be real' and then she falls in love with the Genie. He's terrified of staying too long in the Real World because he's ageless in his own world, but can see change happening in hours.

Not sure if that helps but that's what's being published.

Yeah, I used luck. Once to boost a truly awful DIY surgery roll (I have zero cool) and once for something else...can't remember the second time actually.

Then it when it came to finishing the big bad vamp I rolled a natural 12 XD

Also this:

"The Kill" 30 Seconds to Mars

What if I wanted to break
Laugh it all off in your face
What would you do? (Oh, oh)
What if I fell to the floor
Couldn't take all this anymore
What would you do, do, do?

Come break me down
Bury me, bury me
I am finished with you

What if I wanted to fight
Beg for the rest of my life
What would you do?
You say you wanted more
What are you waiting for?
I'm not running from you (from you)

Come break me down
Bury me, bury me
I am finished with you
Look in my eyes
You're killing me, killing me
All I wanted was you

I tried to be someone else
But nothing seemed to change
I know now, this is who I really am inside.
Finally found myself
Fighting for a chance.
I know now, this is who I really am.

Come break me down
Bury me, bury me
I am finished with you, you, you.
Look in my eyes
You're killing me, killing me
All I wanted was you

Come break me down (bury me, bury me)
Break me down (bury me, bury me)
Break me down (bury me, bury me)

what no mention of Through the Trees by Low Shoulder?

Through the trees
I will find you
I will heal
the ruins left inside you
'cause I'm still here breathing now
I'm still here breathing now
I'm still here breathing now
Until I'm set free

Vincent took another harm, from staring into the abyss. Also, Seed marked Vincent with the healing - weird tattoos that mean 'this boy is Seed's in fae'. I don't think she'd turned Vincent on...but she did get at least one string on him, and he shut her down at the end.

Down The Rabbit Hole
When you go poking your nose in affairs not meant for your kind, someone invoved in the situation gains a String on you, and you mark experience.

I <3 you forever!

And yes, we will be playing another session no matter what. I am addicted to this game.

The abyss didn't feel like the right way to go when I was having a conversation with someone though. I guess I was thinking more of something where the mortal deliberately puts themselves in danger in order to get answers, for example a girl in a horror movie opening the door and going outside because there was a noise and she wants to know what it was.

Strings: I had a string on the witch and that's it. The Fay was collecting strings all over the place though, she had strings on both of us and also on NPCs.

Another book recommendation for people curious about Ghoul-ish romance: Generation Dead by Daniel Waters

I really want to get Emma and Steve to read Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl because it's an excellent human boy/witchy girl romance which seemed very relevant.

I have done an in-character actual play report on my blog. Very one sided, obviously :)

You can read it here: http://wp.me/pp6oN-1tl

The Mortal was so much fun to play, I really liked it. Something about not having any secrets when the others did was quite liberating, plus it's heady to play someone the others 'want' in some way. I can see it all going very bad in the future and I can't wait!

The move I love the most is the 'sympathy is my weapon one'. I just loved it so much when me and Alba were talking about her having a token of mine and I started saying it was okay. You were like 'well, it's a pretty massive betrayal.." and I said "Yes, but if I forgive her I get a string on her."

You and Emma were both like O_O

Of course, I only got to use it the once, since Alba was so sweet and nice, but we'll see for next round. I really wish I'd taken the ignore the blatant problem and get XP though, that one looks awesome.

Jenni here, I had never played Apocolypse World before but this was awesome.

In regards to the curiosity thing, I found that I wanted to dig deeper into what was going on at several points but didn't have an obvious way to do so. If there was a move that allowed me to find out something supernatural, but put me in danger or something...that would work perfectly.

These stories are full of mortals pushing too hard, moving into this world that they don't understand and it would be neat to have something to reflect this. The 'Downward spiral' move does this to an extent, but it's not tied to another character. I wanted something I could use to get my girlfriend to explain stuff...
