Those are super lux! Nice work!

That's an entertaining podcast you folks have there.  It sounds like you all had fun!

If you play again, review who has authority over who.  It's subtle, and power often overlaps, but there's a chain of authority that the Dogs are not always on the top of.  The GM can call them out for Pride during an NPC's See/Raise if they step over those bounds.  Telling a wife how to handle something that's her husband's responsibility to control, placing themselves in de facto positions as Steward, etc.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the show!

I'll keep this in mind if I ever run DitV privately but we won't be returning to the rules for the show again. Closest we'd get would be returning to the setting and cast in a different system. That being said I don't think the Dogs setting would work too well outside its rules.

Hope you're ready for more You Don't Meet In An Inn!

Today we conclude playing Vincent Baker's Dogs in the Vineyard (http://www.lumpley.com/dogs.html)!

Apocalypse World / Re: Community centric campaign with rotating cast?

Using Love Letters based on the events of The Quiet Year to insert the PCs is a very good idea!

Apocalypse World / Community centric campaign with rotating cast?
« on: March 02, 2016, 09:15:41 PM »
I was thinking about an idea I had of having a campaign centred around a community, but having the cast of Players change every so often. The community centric focus is to tie various PCs together while at the same time allowing them to have their own stories. You'd have a short story line that lasts a handful of sessions, the switch out a couple PCs for different players and characters, then pursue a different storyline in the same community. I was thinking Apocalypse World for this since it is fairly community centric and handles PvP conflict well. I was also considering The Quiet Year for creating the community and the initial conflicts.
It could give players who can't commit to a normal campaign but want more continuity than a one shot exactly what they need. It could also give noob GMs a chance to try out the role in a setting everyone is familiar with, AND possibly let Forever GMs take a break.

Has anyone ever tried something like this? Or had a large enough player base for it? Or just any thoughts on how this might work?

I have a question about the Child Thing's The Mother's Heartbeat move. On a miss you lose track of time and many hours pass. Doesn't this essentially remove one of the PCs from play for that period? Such a scenario feels like it goes against AW's heart.
Would it be reasonable to make a Hard Move as the MC instead of doing the missing time, or is that miss condition really necessary for the move?

Your links are very broken.
They are, in fact, so broken that when I fixed the one I went to in my address bar, it was still broken, and I had to fix it a second time.
Just thought you ought to know.

That aside, I'm looking forward to listening to these.

Dang it! Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I've been unable to figure out how to edit my earlier posts, so here are the proper links.

Had a good week? Had a bad week? Have some You Don't Meet In An Inn!

Leer proposes that the teens kill the Fairy King as a way to make sure no more spectral wolves come after them, but killing a god won't be easy and will definitely take some preparation.

You can find links to the show and our contact info in the OP.
