last night i had a player with a + 2 stat, getting a + 2 from the "Help or interfere" action of another player.
That summed to + 4
in another situation, another player with a + 3 stat and a + 1forward (thanks to a move where he rolled a 10) got the + 4
those 2 situations prompted the question.

i reckon that even if 1 player get helped from 2 or + mates the max bonus from help or interfere is  + 1 or + 2, not summed, wichever is the greatest right ?

while +1 forward and + (from help and interfere) sums
but i am not sure if different sources sums or i have to consider just the greatest of the various sources to add to the roll

there is a limit to a "bonus" to a roll ? i explain better.
if you have + 3 stat and + 1 forward from a source, you can have a + 4 or there is a "cap" of the bonus to rolls ?
i am not finding it ...

Hi there i have done some search on the forums but can't find an answer to my predicament.
In the Fallen Empires Strongholder sheet there is a stat line that can be wrong

the 4th options is:
• Cool+2, Hard+2, Hot=0, Sharp+2, Weird=0

it's a huge +6 total, something that goes absolutely over the top
usually when you have 2x+2 stats there is a negative stat aswell to counterbalance

it's probably Cool - 2 ?

someone else noticed this aswell ?
any support will be precious

Hi there, a question. When 2 pc engage in their "sex move" together, how do you execute the "consequences" part ?
for example a chopper and a child thing.
the child thing eats something as appropriate during the encounter, so s/he can get the +1hx
the chopper gives the child thing the raise to +3 in his/her hx ...
does the "up to +3" coming from the chopper hit first (so the child thing eating stuff brings the +1 and raise the experience) or does the +1 from the "eating" come first, and the chopper "up to +3" after this ?
it's hard to put better for me, i am not an english native.

anyway, there is a precedence in the resolution of the sex moves ?
something that determine who goes first applying his "effects" ?

my problem with this "once-for-session" occurrence is that some gigs are really longer than a 6 hour day stint that can happen in the single session or even in 2 different sessions. Or, for the hardholder, i can't conceive what is a crisis that isnt here yesterday and all of a sudden it's here today (like it can happen having them rolling straightly each session, even if the sessions are just one the continuation of the other)
but this is probably just my problem, since i am very new with the game...
i hope this will not derail in a "i have to mind my fuckin business each time, if i can eat and sleep is more relevant than any other kind of trouble i can have to face, except probably an armed attack"

In the 2nd edition book there is this "1 barter expended" at the start of each session.
It has to be payed for each session played even if the "new" session is just a continuation of the previous one and is played in a span of 1-2 days ? sorry but i am new on the game

Nice to see someone's using my harm hack!

I only got to use in one Apocalypse World campaign, and I'm glad to hear someone else enjoyed it.

Paul, this hack was by and far the single most important AW tool I've come across. It turned every instance of "alright I wonder how I should theme this harm on them" to: That was some seriously fucking crazy shit, it's probably going to get you killed, roll an lets continue this dialogue together. For them it removed it loss of control that the harm moves simulated, and for me it provided a very real way to detail the narrative around the harm. Rather then ask, alright, you're immune to that guy's weapon... so, roll harm to see if you noticed?

I've been using it continuously (as well with some of my own hacks based around it) for about two years, or thereabouts.
