Trying to keep control is exactly what you want to do in a game of Monsterhearts. And it's always going to be possible. Or at least the Banshee hopes so. I wish it all the luck it can get.

This looks really cool. I have a question about the Controlled Scream move. It looks like it was meant to partner with the old version of the screaming move. Or am i missing something? Unless it is to go with a combo of Control Freak / Frustration scream - would it negate the need to gaze or negate the need to scream to gaze (revert to a dark roll)? Is the pain scream meant to be mandatory (it is on the old one, but not the new).

Thanks :)
Controlled Scream was indeed written to partner with the old version, and does revert the scream to gaze for control freaks - and was intended to take a little of the bite out of Darkest Self. You're right that in the current version it doesn't do what I want it to, and I'm not sure I want it at all as it reduces risk rather than increases reward.
Pain being mandatory I'm not sure about. I've mentally gone both ways with it a few times; I don't think mandatory is the way to go; temptation is almost always better.
