Title: Typos
Post by: Gregor Hutton on June 21, 2010, 09:59:04 AM
Hey, I think Timothy Kleinert's name needs to have an "ert" not an "art" at the end, on pages 287 and 288.

Thanks, Gregor.

(Argh! I thought I checked that!)

The first time Grief is mentioned on page 148, his name isn't capitalized.

Page 6, end of second para: "From this, the world’s psychic maelstrom, we none of us have shelter."

Is that "we know that..." or just "...none of us have shelter."?

Page 7, under Brainer is a word that I don't understand: "accountrement". Is it "accoutrement" (a trapping)?

From an astute reader via email:

Quote
p139 in Grotesques/Pain addict you have "impules" instead of "impulse"

The “you already know all there is to know” clause is there, but I’ve never used it and I hope you never do too.
That's an awkward turn of phrase, thought I'd point it out.

Pg 15, Harm, 2nd para: "It the player" -> "If the player".

Another from email:

pg 15 under Harm and Healing..

"*It* the player marks the segment 11:00 . . ."

Should be *if, *i'm guessing.

Maybe I'll fix it twice, too. That'll teach it!

On page 36, the Brainer Special refers to a "deep brain scan (p5)".  This is actually on page 34.  Presumably it's on page 5 of the mini booklet version of the Brainer.

Same thing with the Savvyhead Special on page 78.

And again on page 84 for the Skinner Special.

on p84 a reference to p8 probably meant to say p83 for

In the Maestro D' Hx section:
Quote
On the others’ turns, choose your favorite character; ignore the
number that player tells you and write Hx+3 insted.

In the list of grotesque moves:

Quote
Ruin something. Defoul, rot, desecrate, corrupt, adulter it.

should be Befoul

p. 113

Once you have the player’s answer, build on it. I mean three
things by that: (1) barf apocalyptica upon it, by adding detailsand
imagery of your own;

Note the "detailsand" missing a space. This makes the text hyphenate funny, FYI.

p34, Deep brain scan: last question begins with "it" - I think this should be "in"
Title: Re: Typos

p. 105 last sentence before HIGHLIGHTING STATS: "matererial" should be "material".

All of the character splats say: "You get all the basic moves (p72–74)."

Which is incorrect - should be p86-88.

Maybe it's too late now, but page 191, under 'examples', third line, "maybe she I give her" reads funny.

Is there complete description of Savvyhead on p. 10 and 74:

World, it’s: things break.

So this is not a typo per se, but under Immediate Game Influences, Talislanta really ought to be credited to its creator, Stephen Michael Sechi, rather than to Bard Games, the company he founded to publish the first couple editions of the game.
